STAMP: FAT ASS. by CosmicQueenie STAMP: FAT ASS. by CosmicQueenie
"I'm naturally big. Please don't assume I binge eat."

For those of you who are tired of hearing things like:

"EAT A FUCKING SALAD, YOU COW!!"
"PUT DOWN THE FORK, FATTY."
"LOL YOU WHALE, I BET YOU EAT NOTHING BUT MCDONALD'S"

and so on.

I'm so sick of the biases that big people go through. Being told that they're suddenly UNHEALTHY because they happen to have a bit of chub on their front and back.

I can't tell you how many times I've been discriminated against just for my size. I've been BEATEN UP at my elementary school just for being 'over-weight'. Even teachers would take away my lunch, because apparently having a sandwich and some yogurt was for lunch was considered over-eating. >.>

Bullshit.

I hate how everybody acts like being fat is a bad thing, I mean, it's not like they wave a magic wand, saying "I'mma be chubby" and can magically change their body shape. Can't we just accept our differences in size and care more about the personality?

I know that feeling. When people make fun of my figure, I just want to make them touch my ribcage. I don't have ribs poking out or anything, but I certainly don't have that much between my skin and my ribs and it doesn't take much pressure to feel my bones. I just have a bigger bone structure. Thank you for making this!

and the fact it's a standard sized meal is stupid. food gives you energy for school. just having a bowl of cereal is enough for a few hours.

My cousin Nefeli is a big girl, and she has ALWAYS been like this. Ever since birth. A big baby, a big toddler, a big little kid, now a big teenager. Hell, she's taller and bigger than me, and I'm 5 years older than her and an adult!
That's her BODY. She has done nothing to "contribute" to that. On the contrary, her mom has had her on healthy eating her whole life, with no results, of course, because her being big is on her genes and not her lifestyle.
Being big and being obese are two very different things, people.

People tend to forget that. :/

According to the BMI, I'm obese. I know it's bullshit because I don't even look obese.

Man, that BMI is a load of bull. According to the BMI, I am "overweight". BMI is not a reliable indicator for health at all. Oddly enough, people follow it like a religeon.

If you know me, I treat the word "obese" like highly religeous/proper people treat the word "fuck". In other words, i disdain the word. Why? Because when people use the word "obese", they usually use it to ASSUME that somebody is unhealthy just from what they look like. I know a woman who is naturally fat (no, I don't think of "fat" as a bad word), and she is completely healthy. The sad thing is that if the average person looked at her, it is likely that they will assume that she has high cholesteral and/or type 2 diabetes (which is far from the truth). I am seriously disgusted when people think it's okay to say mean stuff about somebody's body, and then use: "I'm only caring about your health" as an excuse to say some of the rudest things about their size. And to rap this up, fat people arn't "ugly" or "gross". They can often be cute and really fun to hug.

Well, being obese is a problem. But being just fat, in general? Bullshit. If people are naturally this way, then there really isn't anything wrong with it.

Oh, no, I agree that obesity is a problem. I just don't agree with how people are trying to solve it. (i.e. the exploitation like the Biggest Loser or celebrity fit club yadda yadda.)

Also, we got to take certain medications that make people gain weight as well.

For me, I was born overweight. I didn't even eat that much as a child. XP

That sounds fine to me. It's my belief that your body weight isn't a problem unless a doctor says it is, anyway.

This! And sometimes it's not natural, but from meds as well. I was so fat while I was on some meds, but there was nothing I could do about it until my doctor took me off of them. I was always chubby, and still am, but hell, my dad's whole family is chubby, and so is some of my mom's.

I really hate how I've been teased about my body so much, that while I can say girls who I KNOW are bigger than me are pretty, I still feel that my fat makes me unattractive. :/

Technically, I'd say being overweight or underweight is unhealthy. There are many problems that come with both, and that's a medical fact. You can't change that. I mean, I understand that people have different metabolisms and may have medical conditions and whatnot, but majority of body weights are acquired through different diet and lifestyles.

I don't condone what's happened to you just because of your weight. No one should be discriminated against over anything except personality.

Hmm, I kind of disagree. It's actually possible to "overweight" and healthy at the same time(And no, I'm not talking about obese at all. Obesity is a terrible problem and needs to be solved.)

For some people, being at a higher weight is sometimes better for them. (My mom was told by her nutritionist that her ideal weight was actually 230, even though her height was 5'5".)

What I'm trying to say in this stamp is that not every big person binges, like most people think.

Also, thank you. I don't support body shaming of any type either. All it does is increase eating disorders.

(By the way, thank you for being civil)

"Obesity" will eventually be solved over time through evolution. The reason why people became fat in recent times is because long ago, food was alot harder to find, so people who were able to store more fat had more success, and passed on their genetics that made it harder to burn fat. That is why so many people of this day have trouble losing weight. If we wait, people will evolve higher metabolisms, and lose weight easily, and "obesity" will no longer be a problem. It is simply a matter of adapting to the fact that food/other things are in our face all the time.

It is quite natural for people to assume that an overweight person binge eats since that is the most common cause of weight problems. However, they shouldn't be assuming it.

(Why? Were other people on here not being civil? That's quite strange. It's just an opinion?)

people these days over-react to people being chubby because the media always EXAGGERATES how unhealthy being fat is (also, there are countless myths about fat, and over time with fat being portrayed is gross, everyone tends to beleive the worst things about fat that they hear to use it as an excuse to make rude comments). It's not really as bad as they say. It is just highly misunderstood.

People have different metabolism.

I eat terribly and I stay skinny, partly because I'm biking a few miles a day and partly because I naturally have fast metabolism. I'm constantly snacking on something.

My acquaintances wonder how I stay "skinny."

I also get made fun of for being skinny. You're not alone. (People have accused me of being bulimic, and my parents believe I am anorexic. Neither is true.)

wow I was reading both the description and comments (being thin for most of my life, and being male most likely since males don't usually say much to each other about appearance). *sigh* It pisses me off people always do it behind everyone's back where no one can give their own opinion and fight for respect... Ugh makes me angry...

People tend to presume I am in a shitty shape because I am chubby. Whenever I have a new teacher in physical education, they tend to give me nasty looks, one has even asked if I have any problems to keep up with the others. After we do some fast running they usually realize I have finished it first with the skinny sporty chicks and am not even breaking a sweat.
So yeah. Great stamp <3

People like that are real assholes. Also, many idiots love to beleive every single negative myth they hear about fat people (usually so that they can use "health problems" as excuses to say nasty shit to them). It drives me mad. Fat people should be left the fuck alone and be treated like actual human beings with feelings. Also, it is bullshit when people call them "gross/unattractive" and stuff, becasuse there is nothing gross or unattractive about being chubby.
